Our Approach
Microschools are a growing trend in education, offering a more personalized and flexible approach to learning. Students learn in small pods, usually in the home of a teaching mentor. This offers a unique opportunity for students to develop specialized team development and leadership skills. It also often allows for students to work along side their siblings or in sibling groups. Parents are welcome and encouraged to join in whenever they can, keeping family at the core of what we do.
Electives and clubs provide students with additional opportunities to explore their interests and develop skills, while also cultivating life-long friendships. This approach fosters community mindedness, leadership development, and a love for learning.

At HillsLight, we will connect you with a trusted list of Christian teaching mentors. Our mentors offer a diverse and comprehensive set of Christ-centered class and curriculum options which are designed to engage and connect students to a greater purpose (worshipping & glorifying God). More than anything, we love to encourage and grow healthy families and Christian communities.
Elective Classes
Our elective classes provide students with the opportunity to explore their passions and interests while developing new skills and talents.
Flexible Microschool Options
Microschools are small learning communities of 8-12 students led by a teaching mentor. Our microschools include lessons in all core subjects. These are typically offered on a 4-day per week, part-time schedule, allowing ample time for family and personal interests. This is far from a traditional classroom model.
